Growing up in Orange County, CA surrounded by rock and hip-hop, Dagger learned the fundamentals of hip-hop while dabbling in graffiti and break dancing in his teens. Moving to Las Vegas after high school, he began to familiarize himself with the rave/party rock scene. It was there he learned the fundamentals of turntablism. Under the guidance of DJ Presto One from The Rock Steady Crew, he began competing in DJ battles and soon became a regular on the DJ circuit playing hip-hop, drum&bass, house and club hits at local hot spots. He is credited with co-producing the long standing hip-hop party dubbed "Sunday Skool'n" that hosted national/local talent and brought Nick Dagger attention from the local music scene.

In 2008, Dagger moved to San Francisco to study music production and sound design in order take his career in a new direction. After a few years of study and practice he began curating his current musical style, which turned out multiple independent s
