Snakebit
This group of veteran musicians came together in September of 2012 to simply have some fun playing songs they love. Singer-songwriter guitarist Ronn Crowder's bluesy Memphis-style vocals and harmonica are accompanied by renowned pianist, conductor (Lexington Singers), arranger and five-time Emmy winner Jay Flippin, well-known master percussionist Bill May (also the mayor of Frankfort, KY), acclaimed horn player and sometimes vocalist Skeets Pennington, and the great bass playing of Michael Anderson. Add the big sound of the horn section of Jeff Flanagan and Valerie Evans to complete the sound!
With a wealth of songs in their repertoire, this group can play whatever they choose to play. And that is mainly blues. Don't be surprised, however, if they break into "Piano Man" or an old Hoagy Carmichael tune.
All of the band members have major credits, including performing with many famous artists. All have performed on albums released by major record labels with major artists. Jay Flippin, Ronn Crowder and Skeets P
