I believe that when something that is supposed to be there is missing, we become more acutely aware of its absence.

This work takes that sense of loss and complementarity and applies it to music.

By intentionally not making elements that constitute music -such as melody, rhythm, and harmony -explicit, the aim is to encourage the listener to focus on the sounds that cannot be heard.
