Of Rivers and Plains

Cities now stand where once America’s natural wonders reigned supreme. At that time, men came to mold the land in their image, but the awesome might of the mountains and canyons, the rivers and deserts enthralled them, and these men, in turn, were remoldet. From the struggle between the traditions of men and the patience of nature, there emerged the unique musical heritage that is America’s folk songs. The Jordanaires in this album present part of this musical heritage and tradition. In 'Of Rivers And Plains', Sesac Recordings releases the first featured long-play album of ballads and folk songs by The Jordanaires.
