Originally a 3 piece led by vocalist/guitarist Shane Herrell and looking for a spark in May 2009, Virgin was joined by guitarist Johnny Wokas(formerly of Sunday Night Blackout) to add a layer of rock depth to its sound. After a few successful local gigs and a quick trip down the coast to SF the band hit a roadblock when the rhythm section departed due to domesticated responsibilities. Enter Justin Cronk(formerly of Vendetta Red) and Greg Garcia(Fences). After a few weeks of rocking some of the original Virgin tunes the re-formed unit started writing some more songs to round out a soon-to-be-created full-length album. Heavily influenced by Black Sabbath, the Hellacopters and Aerosmith, the band hit the studio. The currently self-released album is a hard hitting, 70s/80s rock roller coaster that comes ever so close to capturing the explosive live show Virgin delivers on stage.
