He has chosen some of Detroit's finest musicians to perform this well-thought-out collection of music, and they in turn have brought it to life.
Words used to describe the music, like sensuous, sophisticated, and sparkling and lush seem inadequate, as the music is like an elegantly dressed woman who saunters into the room catching the gaze of all present. The power in this recording lies in the great care and thoughtfulness rendered at every turn. The band's performance, sensitive, sometimes understated and at times powerful, is breathtaking and Jeannine Course-Miller's vocals are on par with the best. Personal favorites?
