Roy Kim于5月16日发行迷你专辑《开花期》，《开花期》中收录双主打歌《自私警报 》、《突然 》与Roy Kim与Kim E-Z共同演唱的电视剧《孤单又灿烂的神-鬼怪》OST《Heaven》的独唱版本…等六首歌曲。专辑中，Roy Kim将会唱出面对爱情时混乱、多变的青年感性，除了以往的Acoustic与民谣风格之外，他也将尝试崭新的音乐风格。像是绽放的花朵般，正在度过最为美丽青春的Roy Kim，将以名为「开花期」的专辑，展现变化与成长的面貌。

- Roy Kim, the twenty-fifth spring that blooms brilliantly.

In the beginning of his twenties, on the green spring day, Roy Kim appeared before us as an athlete singing . And suddenly Roy Kim was in the twenty-fifth spring. The spring of 'Hoshi-no-Hanabi' which revolves around the turning point of 20 generations. Roy Kim came back with a mini-album flowering period (the flowering season)

Twenty-five Roy Keim was different from Roy Keim, whom we had known for a while. Purity, calmness, and those who knew him, even enough to give a sense of betrayal is a transformation. White hair and faded hair in an extraordinary fashion. In the playful expression, I can feel the youth living now rather than the youth who stayed in the past. Twenty-five years old who celebrated the "flowering period" of life. Roy Kim has emerged as the most beautiful youth.

The six songs in this mini album show the growth of Roy Kim. If you remember his mature emotions older than your age, or perhaps his purely pure music, you might as well throw away those stereotypes. In front of love, he is no longer leisurely. Rather, it became more confusing and fickle and more frank. It may be paradoxical, but knowing that love, Roy Kim is growing.

Now I know a little about love and I have my own convictions, but I am actually getting older. I'm a little used to it, but I still have a bad time. Twenty-five, which will make you feel brilliant if you step back. The mini album [Enlightenment] contains the current Roy Ke Kim.

The spring of 2017 is snowing. This season is full of expectations and excitement about newness. The time of growth just started. Twenty-five Roy Keim is now most beautifully blooming.

It is difficult, but ideal, to maintain a perfect relationship between man and man, not too hot or too cold. It would be nice if I could act as I liked or disliked, but I feel that the relationship is blurred by myths other than feelings between them. I wrote a song, dreaming of a love that grows cheerful and slower than the love that disappears soon. It is the first change song that I received from other composers for the first time in my album.

I was so beautiful that I was embarrassed to get closer. The more time passes, the greater the love, the less my heart will be afraid of the pain that may come. I want to leave a little more free from the gaze of others, so I try to get away from it. But in the end, even if reality is not possible.

After I love someone and leave, I have portrayed the mature emotions that left the heart and pain of the process, and the desire for gratitude and happiness for the love that left. I hope to live happier and more spirited, and if I ever meet again, there is a whimsical mind that leaves room for the time. I pretended to be cool but I actually thought of a stupid man. When I thought I had forgotten it, I suddenly came to think that there would be someone who would make me laugh about my longing or memories.

It seems that anyone would have thought about whether or not to contact a drunk lover. Just before you write and say "How are you doing?", Even if you meet again, you worry about leaving for the same reason, and cancel. It is a song that shows a man and a woman who want to contact again with a nostalgic mind, but repeat that it should not be done. It is also the first song I wrote as a piano, not a guitar.

5. Imagine (Lyrics & Composed by Kim Sang-woo Arranged by Ji-chan Chung)
When I look back on the age of twenty-five, I miss my childhood. If you go back to the time you acted in your mind and lived without worry, you would have a more romantic love ... It is a song with a heart that I want to go back to when I could love without any calculation or compromise. I think about how happy I am if I can be faithful to each other's feelings without having anything else in love.

6. Heaven (Solo ver.) (Lyrics, Composed & Arranged by Nam Hye Seung, Park Jin Ho)
It was a song that was loved by Dokkaebi OST. I wanted to release the solo version which was a lot of fans' requests at the time. Nam Hae Seung, the music director of Dokkaebi, took charge of arrangement work. I hope the newly arranged Heaven (Solo ver.) Will be a small gift to our fans.
