Following on from 'Richard Clayderman' (1977), 'A comme amour' (1978), 'Lettre à ma Mère' (1979), and 'Rondo pour un tout petit enfant' (1981), 'Couleur tendresse' was the fifth studio album to feature only original titles. Many of the tracks have become Clayderman standards and are available on various compilation albums.
