
Pure Paradise
As a guitarist, Greg Porée has worked with a diverse group of artists which include Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, Boz Scaggs, Aretha Franklin, Sammy Davis Jr. Diana Ross, Paul Anka, The Jackson Five, Michael Jackson, Joan Baez, Cher, Phoebie Snow, Ahmad Jamal, Stanley Turrentine, Herbie Hancock, Benny Golson, Donald Byrd, Randy Crawford, The 5th Dimension, Albert King, Ozomatli, James Blunt, Jonny Lang and James Brown. He was also the lead guitarist for Dancing with the Stars from 2005 to 2013.
He has been the musical director for Sonny and Cher, Gladys Knight and the Pips, The Supremes, Thelma Houston, Syreeta Wright and Joan Baez. As an arranger, orchestrator and producer his credits include Cher, Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, Vinx, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Charlie Terrell. He also wrote the music for the Martin Lawrence TV show in its first season with the guitarist and composer Paul Jackson Jr.
Pure Paradise is Greg's first studio album for which he primarily used synthesized sounds and pads for keyboards, strings, horns, drums, percussion and bass. The featured solo instrumentalists, Greg Porée and Rickey Woodard, play soprano sax, tenor sax, flute, nylon string guitar and electric guitar. The range of the musical genres covers jazz, smooth jazz, film music, pop, funk, Latin, disco, swing and a waltz.
