Royall, Pt. 2: Harsh Sound
In part two-of-four from Royall's debut album, things get heavy. While the first EP was all about experimenting, this EP is all about the drop. Himalaya takes you to the ancient temple of the dubstep monks with its sitars and wild synths. Crocodile grabs you in its jaws and drags you into the depth of the sea with its hard hitting wubs, then thrashes you in its jaws as the tempo picks up for the third drop. Song of the Yaybahar takes a moment to mourn those lost in battle before giving the call again and charging toward the enemy. Rhodochrosite takes you deep within the crystalline caverns where growls and wobbles leak from the walls. With his sound design and dark atmospheres, Royall truly makes 'Harsh Sounds' live up to its name.
