This is their first independent album after almost two decades of working with traditional record labels. The roots of Estados Alterados date to the early 1990's in Medellín, Colombia, the dark years of a city that lived the violence of Pablo Escobar and the drug wars. Perhaps this is why this band really knows how to take risks and turn dreams into reality. The original members, Elvis, Tato and Ricky, worked with British producer Phil Vinall to release a new global sound that features drums, synthesizers, and a more aggressive bass and guitar. This comeback album confirms why fans keep defining Estados Alterados as Latin America's answer to Depeche Mode.
