Taking Time (Part 2)
Ready Mix Records closes out the 2010 summer season in style with a sizzling double EP from Montreal-s own: Tone Depth & Vivie-Ann featuring Michelle Narine - Taking Time
Tony (Tone Depth) Papadopoulos productions have been rocking clubs worldwide for the past decade since his debut on Paul Oakenfolds Another World Compilation in 2000. His productions have been signed to labels run by the world's top International DJs like Tiesto, Armin Van Burren, Deep Dish, and John Digweed (to name but a few); his productions have also been featured on such notable compilation series as Global Underground and Renaissance. Tony is no stranger to the Ready Mix family, having released his -What You Do- & -Lust- EPs with us back in 2002.
Vivie-Ann (one half of the crazy BLOND:ISH moniker) who recently relocated to London-UK, is a closely watched rising star on the international circuit with celebrated residencies and gigs at respected venues like Watergate, Privilege, Rain Las Vegas, and numerous Pachas. Her recent productions are being featured on labels such as Starlight & Pink Rabbit, Hi-Bias, London Music, Mile End, and *69. Tony and Vivie-Ann join forces with the sultry voice of Michelle Narine (the voice of the chart topping song "What You Do" by Big Bass) to create what is sure to be a summertime hit and beyond.
PART 2
Ready Mix label boss BiG AL pulls double duty as he lends his production talents to this EP, with his forward-thinking Beat Factory Remix. Adel Ghandour a.k.a. BiG AL, along with his partner Levente Szabo, commonly known as Human8 pull off a splendid vocal & instrumental edition, that deliver a clean yet heavy groove with a sophisticated edge, that is sure to satisfy any discerning listener. Not to be outdone, Matan Caspi offers an effervescent vocal mix & dub that hit all the right buttons, filled with emotive chord stabs and unique drum programming. Next up is Ready Mix alumni DJ Cytric who presents his new alter ego Dave Nash who gives us a brilliant vocal remix & instrumental that are both eerie yet carry a tinge of twisted humor. Last but not least, we have another Ready Mix favorite, Christos Fourkis from Greece who closes out the EP with a Deep and Funky Afro-Latin House remix that will surely go down well amongst the Headz.
We hope you enjoy our latest journey into sound!
