Maya Schenks HENRI Records marks its third release on the 30th September with Waiting For Toni, backed with a remix from Alex Blanco.

With an impressive back-catalogue spanning labels like Nervous Records and CR2, and DJ support from Jamie Jones Roger Sanchez and Danny Tenaglia, it was no surprise her labels first two releases caught the attention of BBC 6 Musics Nemone and Kiss FMs Charlie T as well as club support from the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Isaac Tichauer, Severino and Terry Francis.

If the first two releases set a benchmark for the label's big room aesthetic, Waiting For Toni takes it up a notch, fusing West African vocals with upfront rhythms to create a composition as euphoric as it is energetic. Tumbling percussion ebbs and flows with weighty kicks and thundering bass, before a deftly programmed breakdown leads the record to a peak in its latter stages.

On the flip-side is a remix from industry veteran, Alex Blanco. With a 20-year career spanning over 500 production credits, this Liverpool-born, New York-raised and London-resident delivers his first solo remix in four years. Drawing inspiration from his love of the 90s New York / Chicago sound and modern funk-infused Techno styles, he delivers a slice of squelching-classic-meets-contemporary electronic music aimed at the early hours on the dance floor.
