Magda was born in Brazil in the state of Minas Gerais. She is a warrior and an artist by heart. Her convictions are unwavering and are strongly rooted in family in addition to the culture and passion that is Brazil.
Music has always been an essential part of her life. Magda was the oldest of three siblings. As with life in a small town, she would spend each holiday united with uncles, aunts, and cousins playing instruments and singing. She developed a fondness for one particular uncle who would play the guitar while she sang some of the local popular music. At the age of 14, Magda's father passed away. The loss of her father brought pain and desperation to Magda and her family. During these difficult times she could only find refuge through her performances. In addition to her love for music she frequently danced at a local theater. With the encouragement of her family, Magda left Brazil at the age of 18 to pursue her dreams.
On arrival to the United States, Magda found life to be more difficult than she had hoped. While trying to find her way in this new world she discovered a new passion, acting. She was fortunate to attend some of New York's renowned acting schools including the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and the Gene Frankel Theater. With her newfound craft, Magda scored the lead role in an independent film entitled, "Shoe Crazy". She appeared in the popular TV series "Third Watch" as well as other independent films such as "Back to One" and "The Keeper". Magda also appeared in a commercial for the television show "The Fifth Wheel" produced by Universal Television. Though thrilled with her success as an actress, Magda could not forget her love for song. With influences from famous Brazilian artists such as, Marina, Lulu Santos, Roberta Miranda, Edi Motta as well as other internationally known such as Pink Floyd and the Beatles, Magda began to create her music under the stage name "Ariana". She recorded one single and two albums entitled "Countless Lies" and "All Things Ariana".
Magda is a multi-talented artist whose experiences have defined her life and music. Her perseverance and drive for success will take her far.
