I See Better With My Eyes Closed
I See Better With My Eyes Closed is a subtle but powerful jazz collection. It includes seven original compositions by bassist/composer/producer Mike Davis and three "spontaneous compositions" by the ensemble. From the ethereal entrance of Dani Super through the intense climax of Butterflies For No One, on to the beautiful swing of Niclas and finally ending with the pensive introspection of the title track, the ensemble takes the listener on a journey not unlike a classic ECM offering. Supporting bassist Mike Davis with focus and intensity are Jacob Duncan on alto and tenor sax, Tim Miller on guitar and Norm Bergeron on drums.
