Los Angeles-based EDM band, Vio, was formed in 2006 by singer and painter, Violeta Moreno. A vocalist since childhood, she wanted to break away from the Orchestra at school while playing 2nd chair violin. Musical projects evolved into Vio, working with many gifted musicians, and collaborating on a higher scale.

Vio's debut EP, "Keep On Lovin'", features a variety of genres, mixing ancient with modern, sometimes characteristic of Massive Attack. The EP kicks off with "Out of Sync (Renaissance Remix)", an upbeat, yet dreamy dance track written in collaboration with producer So High Above the Sky. The light and electronic tone of this song is followed by "Question", a neoclassical dark wave tune which delves into themes like the Inquisition and the Occupy movement. You will feel as if you've stepped into a medieval church, and won't want to leave until your question has been answered. This song is a collaboration between the lyrics of Violeta Moreno and the music of Gentleman Junkie frontman, Ed Korn.

"Don't Say That" is a fierce trip hop anthem which ponders censorship, the freedom of choice, among other subjects, all in a fun and sexy way. "Keep On Lovin'", is a down tempo title track with hints of jazz. Both tracks are produced by Scobra, one of the leading producers for the underground electro-scene today. This title track cools you down after the party, just in time to go nuts on the next tune.
"Metro Jet", a strong electro dance hit that builds into a frenzied climax, is also produced by Ed Korn, along with the next track, "Every Second", a synth pop groove with angelic vocals and hypnotic bells.

PLAYING LIVE:
When onstage, Violeta plays with a live band: viola, guitar, drums, keyboard and bass guitar. Being a painter as well as a singer, she has plans of live art combined with live performance, soon to be in the mix.
