Christopher S. Rodgers, better known by his stage name Black Silver or Silver Synth is an American Rapper, Booking Agent and Businessman. He is signed to the independent record label Sterling World Records and is a member of the Hip Hop groups Analog Brothers, the Likwit Crew, 2000 Crows, & Black Ice. Black Silver has recorded prolifically both as a solo artist and in-group collaborations. Well-known for his extensive vocabulary, intricate rhyme schemes, complex phrases and concepts that he uses in order to provide an artistic depth to his music.
He began rhyming in the mid-'90s and by 1995 under the name Black Silver The Navigator, formed a duo called Mistic Poets with Los Angeles rapper Zig E.S.P. While he was with Ziggy, he took part in a legendary cypher with Eric Sermon of EPMD in Hollywood, California, which earned him respect from the rap veteran who would later introduce Silver to an elite selection of Hip Hops finest.This is when Silver first joined the Hip Hop collective 2000 Crows. In 1997, the Mistic Poets signed with the Power 106 owned Aqua Boogie Records to release there 1st single 2001. The Mistic Poets split to pursue solo careers and Black Silver connected with Legendary MC Kool Keith. On August 10, 1999, Keith released Black Elvis/Lost in Space featuring Black Silver. It peaked at #10 on the Billboard Heat seekers chart, #74 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and #180 on the Billboard. On July 25, 2000, Keith released the album Matthew featuring Black Silver. It peaked at #47 on the Billboard Heat seekers chart. The same year, Black Silver collaborated with Ice-T, Marc Live, Kool Keith and Pimp Rex for the album Pimp to Eat, under the group name Analog Brothers, with Keith performing as Keith Korg, Ice-T as Ice Oscillator and Black Silver as Silver Synth.
For a long time Silver has been refferd to as one of the west coasts secrete weapons. Highly anticipated,repected, and supported by his fans, friends and peers alike. Having recorded, and toured with giants in the music industry from: Xzibit,Ice T.,Too Short,Dilated Peoples,to Red Hot Chilli Peppers and the Foo Fighters.His experiance has led him to a new confidence in his career as a entertainer.
