My name is Travisteen Helms. I'm a singer songwriter, born and raised in Ventura, California. Although I grew up listening to down home blues, R&B and Jazz, I also enjoyed country music. You could say I have an eclectic ear when it comes to music.



I started singing around the house at the early age of 7. From Radio and T.V. I was deeply influenced by the likes of Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tanya Tucker, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr., and Willie Nelson. At 18 I learned the basics of piano and guitar, but I really didn't start performing until I was 22 years old. Feeling brave, I auditioned and became the lead singer in a Rock & Roll Band called, "The Full House." We were rated one of the ten best bands in Ventura, County.



Since then I moved to Vancouver, Wa and attended Clark College. There I got some music theory under my belt and song in the choir. Later I decided to take on private voice lessons, to hone in on my vocal skills. Over the years, I've come to realize, that my talent lies in
