GFunk and GDogg, members of LayLow Inc, teamed up with Mr. Capone-E to make this powerful west-coast connection. Gfunk, Gdogg and Mr. Capone-E are all former gang members with major street credibility on the streets. After their release from prison, both Gfunk and Mr. Capone-E decided to become rappers and both establishing their own record labels, Hi-Power Entertainment and LayLow Incorporated, with departed destinies allowing Mr. Capone-E to sign into Thump Records and Gfunk to continue his journey with Gdogg under LayLow Inc, where they both released works including Mr. Capone-E's 2003 album Dedicated 2 the Oldies in which he interpolated songs like "Angel Baby" by Rosie & the Originals. Gfunk's 2007 album Riding Low quickly raised the charts of Japan becoming #1 seller for 3 consecutive months thereafter Gfunk and his co-producer Gdogg became the official production company of Hi-Power Entertainment.
