Al Cohen's album "Turn On A Dime" explores the political, social and personal problems of different characters and society as a whole. The tempos range from upbeat, medium tempo and totally chill. But, the themes are all connected, and so are thematic melodic ideas that reverberate throughout the record. Cohen's scratchy soulful voice is highly emotional and expressive. As usual, Cohen plays 90 percent of the instruments, writes, produces, engineers, mixes and masters another terrific album for fans of all styles of music. Dig it.
