Dave Harm is an author who has shared his story in books and through poetry. "12" was created using a dozen of Harm's poems dealing with a variety of issues. 12 was a dream of Dave Harm's for many years as The Beatles sung “With a little help from my friends” this dream is now a reality. 12 is a musical CD using 12 poems written by Dave Harm. The album features the creative talents of a poet, a lifetime musician, a voice of an angel, and a creative talent that changed words to lyrics and made poems music.

Jazz great Alan Haven performed all the music on '12', while newcomer HP Chylde, added a beautiful soulful and angelic voice to this unique creation.

In the movie “Eddie and the Cruisers,” during an interview Ridgeway was asked why he put up with Eddie Wilson's behavior. Ridgeway told the story where he quit the band and Eddie came to talk to him.  Eddie crossed his fingers and said, "Words and music."  His point was that Eddie brought the music, while Ridgeway brought the words.
