I spent the last year recording the tracks for this album on a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), in a spare bedroom in our house in Duvall, WA. Recording with the DAW allowed me to create drum tracks from high quality drum samples and loops, and build up entire song arrangements by playing virtual instruments on my keyboard. I could create the sound of a flute or trumpet on my keyboard , record those sounds onto my tracks, and literally becoming a one man band.

Having only myself to blame for my good or bad takes, gave me the freedom to really capture my interpretations of these Bossa Nova standards.

My cd "Well Played" is the results of this past year's work. I am very proud.

It includes 10 Bossa Nova standards including the Jobim classics; Triste, Samba De Uma Nota So, Meditacao, O Morro Nao Tem Vez and O Grande Amor.
