As a musician, Nell has performed and composed across a wide range of genres. Her current material is best described as pop/rock, with songs that are deliberately composed to sound as good in a solo acoustic performance as with a full-band studio production. For this album, she composed all lyrics and music on her own using piano, acoustic guitar or ukulele; then invited a talented group of musicians to really flesh out the songs and bring them to their full potential.
