Just as Brazil is the mica of football and the US the Basketball mica so is Jamaica the reggae capitol of the world, and very few individuals have been involved in all facets of this music as Swelele.

Swelele has don it all, his musical journey started in Kingston where he was born. His father Tony Dacosta former member of the Skatalites and a well respected musician started teaching him the guitar very earley.At the age of ten he started piano lessons, and was a member of his high school (Kingston College) quire from his first year. After graduating high school he joined his father’s band that was employed as the resident band for a well known hotel on the north coast of Jamaica. Singing in a resident band six nights per week was grate experience for the youngster and the foundation for what is today a seasoned pro.
After several years of working the north coast,Swelele migrated to Los Angeles where he joined the group Smal
