Les Reynolds was born near Tribbey, Oklahoma. As a small child his family moved to Salida, California and usually lived out in the sticks to accommodate the family milk cow and Dad’s pack of coon hounds. Les grew up mostly in the woods, either following his father’s hounds or wandering around on his own.

“I was pretty shy, not good socially, so I began to write poems, songs and stories. No one knew about my writing. It was my secret, until 2004, when I wrote my first song to be recorded, ‘Good Girl Having Fun.’ It was New Year’s eve, 2003. I attended a new year’s party at Four Corners Lounge, just out of Palmer, Alaska. The house band was Ken Peltier, my adopted son, and his band and another adopted son, Mike Lashbrook–drummer and vocalist. During the festivities, I noticed a very attractive brunette singing, dancing, and having a lot of fun. She was the life of the party.
