Randy and I have been writing songs together for many years. We wrote and demoed the song - SOMETIMES YOU WIN - during the era of the Alesis ADAT's. When I record demos, most of the time I record the songs as masters, which is what happened in this case. At the time, we wrote and recorded as to pitch songs for other recording artists.
When mixing the song, I was reminded of the midi instruments we used at the time and dug the fact the sounds are good!
