Two Thumbs Up
Lanny Hattbaugh: Singer-Songwriter - Lanny’s love for country music began at a very young age. Born the sixth of seven children, he was raised by his mother with little or no help. Lanny said, “We were poor, but basically happy, and talk about unconditional love, we sure had it! I think all of us kid’s appreciate things that we have today just a little more than we would if we had been more fortunate”. Lanny’s song “Lucky Seven” tells a story of his early childhood and his relationship with his family today. His song “Angel’s Name is Mom” (2006 “Two Thumbs Up” CD) tells of a mother’s love and kindness. At the age of 11, brothers Steve and Barry saved up twenty-five dollars from “catch’in chickens” and bought a brand-new Harmony arch-top guitar. It fast became a prized possession. Along with his brothers, Lanny learned to play that guitar. Music has been a part of his life ever since. Today, Lanny writes “from the heart” country songs with his traditional country roots and contemporary blues and rock influence
