Music is ever present in our daily lives. It moves us, inspires us and calms us. Music helps us express ourselves when words just aren't enough.

Mckenzie was born in the hot summer month of July on the 31st day, to a military man and a young girl from Mississippi. The family moved often, from base to base, across the states in the south.

Always an avid reader, she began writing poetry and short stories at an early age. In time, these writings became the songs that tell the journey of her life.

As a child, she sang in the church choir and played the flute. During her high school years, she picked up the guitar and taught herself to play. And so her love affair with music began...

As she journeyed through life, becoming a wife and mother, she had her writing and her guitar to guide her through life's ups and downs. Her music became part of her... it became her passion.
