Come Hither is a hypnotic journey into Anne Harris' folk/pop vision where acoustic violin blends seamlessly with its electrified cousin, and where mandolin plugs into guitar effects pedals while riding over electronic and organic beats. Sonically the songs are anchored around grooves, sometimes suggestive of down tempo trip hop. An alternative contemporary folk/pop sound influenced by blues.

Lyrically the songs speak of love, loss, death, hope, and redemption. Guest artists include legendary blues boundary-pushers Otis Taylor (banjo), Chuck Campbell (pedal steel), and Billy Branch (harp). Up and coming alternative hip hop artist Nikki Lynette contributes a rap on one track.

Largely recorded by Anne on her laptop, the record was mixed by rock veteran producer Steve Gillis (Filter) at Transient Sounds in Chicago and mastered by Doug McBride at Gravity Studios, Chicago.
