
Songs for Junior Rangers
"Songs for Junior Rangers" is a 20 song CD produced by the National Park Service for kids and families. It is a diverse album both in topic and style. Everything from a polka about a revolutionary war hero to a hip hop song about elk.
The album features some well known kids' artists such as Trout Fishing in America, Johnette Downing and Aaron Nigel Smith. It also features other professional musicians such as the acapella group Committed (NBC Sing-Off Winners) and one of the Irish Tenors, Daryl Simpson.
Many youth are also on the album including young Navajo singer/songwriter Krishel Augustine , a teen hip hop group from New Bedford Massachusetts, and the Omagh Community Youth Choir.
The album was produced to help connect our future generations with our national parks. Proceeds from the album go to the Junior Ranger program of the National Park Service.
