Deliciously Vicious

The media projects the image of money and women in music into every television set of Americans with the power of MTV and various other music stations. All over the air-waves and television the sound of mainstream music is forced into your ears by dollar signs. Granted there is good music out there, you just need to find it, as it is, for the most part, un-televised or not broadcasted publicly. It's time for a change and that time is now. Bring in the unique and original hip-hop that is Ruthless. With no compassion or pity for what music has become in modern times, Ruthless takes hip-hop into their own hands and creates an obscure sculpture, forming a Minnesota based Mid-West sound dubbed hybrid hip-hop.

2004 marked the year when Ruthless would be born; debuting and performing shows with brand new material and honing their own image of representing the black bandana. Most people would assume the black bandana to be gang related, however, the black rag is different, in that, it represents unity. Take the colors of the world and mix them together, the result is that of black. Take the beauty that is hip-hop mixed with suburban living and free thinking. Add in a touch of West Coast flavor and respect of life, the result is what is seen and heard in Ruthless.

Ruthless is Professor Fresh, Phatty McGee and M.C. Rentz. These individuals are no rookies to the underground hip-hop scene either. Professor Fresh was born and raised in Mankato, MN, formed the group Psychosynthetik in 1999 and carries a solo career himself. Phatty McGee and MC Rentz, both natives to the Twin Cities and Northern Suburbs are members of the hip-hop group Lyrical Pedestrianz, which was formed in 2003. Together the mesh of Professor Fresh and Rentz produced beats with the weaving of flows between the 3 individuals make for the unique sound that is Ruthless.
