'Keepin' Good Folks Joyful'
Take two veteran bluesmen - Dan Treanor and Richard Ray Farrell - combine them with a rock solid rhythm section, turn them loose and you're apt to get a musical explosion for 'keepin' good folks joyful'.
That's what happened in September of 2008. Dan and Richard met in Holland in the late nineties and after all these years, decided to get together, play some gigs in Colorado and do some recording. This CD is the result of their efforts.
Recorded live in the studio over the course of two days, they laid down some powerful and soulful music.
Combining Richard's mastery of classic Country and Urban blues and Dan's unique 'Afrosippi' approach, they created a album of soul, passion and groove. Originals, combined with blues classics by Little Walter, Jimmy Rogers, T-Bone Walker and Hound Dog Taylor, paint a rich soundscape of real music.
