Splinter releases their 3rd CD in 2008 aptly titled "splinter" which contains 5 brand new songs written by Smith and continuing in the same style of their previous releases. Being a digital release only, the songs are only available throughout online stores and downloads.

The band, currently consisting of front man/guitarist George Smith, bassist - Matt Cannon and Drummer - Marco Morssi, can be seen gigging all around their hometown are of Philadelphia and surrounding areas. They also plan to embark on another US tour if time permits.

From the rocking track "disappeared from me" to the acoustic "home." Splinter fans WON'T be disappointed. Ending with the final track, "storms coming" continues to prove Splinter's mood capturing sound, and haunting lyrics.
