This is the 8th indy release for Chicago songwriter Mighty Joe, a followup to 'balance' from 2006.

Included here are a great deal of unreleased tracks & some alternative versions of previously released songs.

While being very "un-produced" in nature, this album is very stripped-down & acoustic. The focus here is that the basic idea of each song comes through, while certainly not being polished or perfect in any way.

Featured here are a number of different recording engineers that Joe has worked with through the years including Tom Mohbat (HI), Jeff Deeth (MN), Wade Nichols (OH), & Tom Hepburn (IL).

Some highlights include 'Horsepill', 'June' (a song written for June Carter Cash), 'Goodnight', & 'After the Best' (title track from the Kurt Kubicek film).
