Late Bloomers (Clean)
Squirm and Germ (Tim Girrbach and Rodney Umble) are two MCs from NYC that use Hip-Hop Comedy as a springboard to explore the specific and the ridiculous. Being true audio/bibliophiles their influences are sprawling from Old School to New School, New Wave to Classic Rock, Bluegrass to The Brontës and beyond. With all original music written, spittin', and produced independently by Squirm and Germ.
They have rocked the mic at numerous venues around NYC, including Ars Nova (Showgasm), Under St. Mark's (Sketch Block), The Cove (Brooklyn), and at their homebase, The People's Improv Theater (Hits and Runs/B-Sides in the Basement). They have been featured guests of The Chris and Paul Show, The Red Tie Mafia, and Stampede Free Range Comedy.
As part of the ECNY and INNY Award nominated sketch comedy troupe, Drop Six, they were official selections of Sketchfest NYC, Sketchfest Seattle, D.C. Comedy Fest, as well as winners of the "Best of the Fest" Award at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival. They have also been fortunate to have shared the stage with Reggie Watts, Kristen Schaal, Matt McCarthy, and The Apple Sisters.
Their work can also be seen in the YouTube series of "Sessions with Squirm and Germ."
