Blues Veteran James Pirkle is known around Mississippi as
the Rev. James Pirkle fronting his own blues band and performing with many other artists on Harmonica, Vocals and Lead Guitar. He also spent many years touring and performing with country show bands such as Speck Rhodes. With Down South he's the lead guitarist, harmonica player and vocalist.

Kenneth Ray West is an award winning songwriter who performs with the group on guitar and vocals. He previously was the front person for West Coast band TakeWest based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, performing all over the country and in the Philippines.
