Ivy’s passion and love for people is the purpose of this debut album, which is to give women back the power over their lives through song. Not that the Word can’t, because it can, but from a different point of view. The lyrics do not bash or belittle our men, but empower our single females, especially single mothers, that they can take back control of their lives. Women, you don’t have to settle for less than you are worth, because you are more valuable than what you give yourselves credit for as the stronger gender.
Ivy states, “Using titles from my songs, I know that in them it states that you’re the reason “We Stayed Together”, and that was all because I “Just Said Yes” to it all, and so we took it “Nice And Slow”. But now a change must occur, because God has given us the ability to take back what’s rightfully ours. So Sha” Bac, because we are more than conquers, you can “Ease On Down (The Road)”, for we are women that have goals. Now that “You’re Gone” we are liberated souls.”
