
Our Love
Andrew Jones (an Aledo, Texas-based Country and Americana songwriter) cut a demo at a friend’s house in Granbury, Texas on December 3, 2001. With the encouragement of friends and family, Andrew rounded up all of the songs he had written, copyrighted, and played only for a choice few, and decided to have a band of his own to perform at live music venues.
Recruiting band members from Grandview, Cleburne, and Ft. Worth, Texas, his first band was known as the “Roughcuts.” Roughcuts began playing many local venues to cut their teeth on the ever-changing business of music. They played their second gig at Smirnoff Music Center (since re-named) on the pavillion stage prior to the Toby Keith Concert. At the Beaumont Ranch in Grandview, the band also opened for the Ely Young Band. Andrew Jones changed the name of the band to Brookhaven (named after a street he lived on in Cleburne, Texas) in 2004.
