It is December 1, 2007. Pizon is on stage in front of fans, friends, and family alike at a small yet crowded club in his home borough of Queens, New York. After some of his collaborators -- which include fellow emcee Analyze and an all-female step team from the College of Mount Saint Vincent -- exit the stage, a lone-standing Pizon addresses the crowd.
"Tonight is a special night for more reasons than one. This is my official birthday bash. Thanks to Rawkus Records, this is the re-release party for my debut album I Am Hip Hop, which originally came out on my own label one year ago. This is Timid's album release party, as his record is available for the first time anywhere tonight. And, this is the celebration of EJ's move from Texas to New York. My man drove 26 hours, through 12 states, to be here tonight -- and he's not going back. But y'all knew all that. What you didn't know was that tonight is also the release party for my new project, And Then There Was One."
