This is my first album of guitar instrumentals. Originally released on CD in 2002, I wanted to create a bluesy, smokey vibe on my shoestring budget, catching a wave where I could. The original demos had been to see how a bad hand injury from a motorbike crash had affected my playing but it soon became apparent that the demos had legs, so off we ran...I was ably assisted by the multi-talented Paul 'Kojak' Joseph and the inestimable RimBim to cover up my mistakes, with maestro Jim Jessop supplying the whizzy organ bits. But without the sublime trumpet of Jim Dvorak on Sleep, things might never have been the same...

There is also an extra track on the CD, not available to download, by way of a bonus to anyone willing to shell out the readies. I'd always loved the original which ran to over ten minutes and was already a powerhouse instrumental, before the vocals finally came in. It was also the first time I became aware of the idea of a dub mix that wasn't reggae. Melvin 'Wah-wah' Watson's guitar playing mesmerized me and this was my chance to see what had stuck...
