Sasha Carassi returns with a match sought after update of ‘Ametista’...

Since the re-launch of Renaissance Records in 2017 (with THAT Solomun remix of ‘Age Of ‘Love’), Sasha Carassi has been one of the most-capped artists on the label, releasing and remixing at regular intervals since his debut in 2021; so, it's only fitting that he is handed the honour of the label's 100th release. And, in another twist of meant-to-be fate, his ‘re-interpretation’ of ‘Ametista lands exactly a year to the day of its initial release, which picked-up heavy-rotation from Tale Of Us, who played it throughout their January 2023 Central America tour, not least the lauded Afterlife event at Zamna, Tulum .

The new Ametista is a classy update, a balance between nostalgia and innovation, which twists the original’s breakbeat into a powerful 4/4, peaktime driver, once again set to be played on dancefloors all over the world. What a start to the year!
