Take It to the Bank (EP)
Newcomer Chris Janson hopes to Take It to the Bank with his latest EP of that title, out Tuesday. Although Chris is known for penning Tim McGraw’s 2012 hit “Truck Yeah,” this album features the first song Chris has ever recorded that he didn’t write. He covers Rodney Crowell’s composition “I Ain’t Livin’ Long Like This,” a number one hit for his hero Waylon Jennings.
“This is an eclectic group of tunes that we hand-picked for the fans that have heard these songs in my show and have been asking for them,” says the performer who logged more than 150 dates last year.
The release follows Chris’s self-titled EP, which featured his top 40 hit “Better I Don’t.”
