
Too Old to Start At the Bottom
Lawson and Disorder is, at its core, the musical collaboration of three "seasoned" musicians -- songwriter, singer, and rhythm guitarist Larry Lawson, lead guitarist Joe DeCristopher, and bassist Carl Kirby. All three have had lengthy musical careers in addition to, and sometimes instead of, their day jobs. On their first album they are joined by drummer Steve Mitchell, whose bona fides extend all the way back to his performance in the Vince Guaraldi Trio that provided the music for the Charlie Brown specials. In addition, Jacob Lawson (freelance producer, accomplished composer, stellar violinist, and -- you guessed it -- Larry's cousin) has provided both the exquisite violin tracks and the steady producer's hand for this spare, elegant collection.
