Paying homage to electronic music of the early to mid 90's and taking inspiration from artists such as Boards of Canada, Amon Tobin, Air, Akira Yamaoka, Future Sound of London and Aphex Twin. This album is a collection of material generated within a 2 year period, in which several experimental works were created and eventually scaled down to 8 complete pieces, crafting a satisfying and cohesive experience.
The album's overall style flows from slow and downbeat, to a dense and often dark atmosphere. Careful attention to each instrument's sound and its overall purpose was crucial to achieving the sound I desired. To give each piece its own unique character and mood, field recordings of the outdoors and organic sounds (ie running water) were done to compliment several pieces. Very often though, simple polysynths and pads were enough to engage my interest and employing automation on various filters and effects allowed me to get the most out of each sound.

This album serves as a breakthrough in my artistic endeavour and its many achievements will continually inspire and influence me as I continually aim to perfect my sound.
