In This Moment
As musicians we develop a vocabulary of sounds and styles that we enjoy. When I sat down without any preconceived notion of what I was going to play it was fun to draw on that vocabulary and let the music flow. What you hear is "In This Moment" - how it went down. No preconceived writing, no guitar overdubs.
The purpose of these two afternoon sessions was mainly cathartic. I recorded the pieces, enjoyed the process and promptly forgot about them. Six months later a friend asked, "what did you ever do with those ad-lib pieces?" It took a second to realize what he was talking about. When I dug them out of the archives I thought, "Not too shabby:-)"
Here for your consideration and enjoyment - a dozen plus two tunes for you - In This Moment.
