Born Andre Harvey in Asmara, Ethiopia. Heat grew up in the streets of Altadena and Pasadena, California. As a young man he became friends with a kid named James Broadway whos scratchin and mixed tapes where the first of its kind in the area, he would later become a legendary music producer for artist such as King Tee, Xzibit, The Alkoholics and many more. Along with Scotty Blades, Craig Celestine and a few others these influences would leave a mark on Andre forever. At the urging of Broadway , Andre' began writing rhymes. A couple of years later after the murder of his best friend Christopher Celestine, his lyrics began to show his new outlook on life and the burning fire within to never lose.
