It all began in 1990, when K-Style of South Sacramento , California was an original member of a three-man group from the “underground” called No Shorts Taken (aka NST). NST performed at several events in Sacramento, and by the reaction of the crowd was well received. This group made a demo, and an album together, but eventually they each pursued other things……..

K-Style released his first solo project “Somethin’ Fierce” in 2003, “4 the streetz” vol. 1&2 mix tape, featured on compilations, soundtracks, and various artist in the industry. His main stream listeners were the hip-hop hardcore audience. He rocked house parties, high school rallies, car shows, clubs and venues up and down California . Touring and opening up for artist such as E-40, Keek the Sneak, Dru Down, and C-Bo. K-Style’s sophomore solo project “Lord Have Mercy” was unreleased do to his transition to Christ.

K-Style used his talents to promote his personal fight against tobacco through one of his songs entitled “86 the cancer sticks”. His rap song/public service announcement, was sponsored by” The Sacramento Urban League” in 1998. The slogan “86 the cancer sticks” received governmental recognition and K-Style was awarded a plaque for this catchy slogan to stop smoking.

K-Style let the Lord guide him, and he converted his life to the Lord……this same hardcore audience has expanded to a Christian audience. He is now a new creature, and has opened up for recording artist Flame, worked with gospel rap artist Sequent, and has air play with 103.5 Gospel hour.
