The song "Higher Ground" was written, composed and performed by Martin Thomas. Originally released in 2011 as the 5th and final single from the Martin Thomas debut album "Safe Keepings". "Higher Ground" was also later included on the compilation album "Acoustika Vol.27" released by 272 Records in 2012.

The composition was inspired by the late eighties sound of Phil Collins/Peter Gabriel. Recorded at The Getaway Place studio, Copenhagen, Denmark.
