This Precious Disease
Chris Miller is Canadian. He both cares, and does not care about this. He is a theatre school graduate. This too, he finds interesting, and not, at once. He is a bit of a smarty-pants, living his more humble existence in his music... songs about trying not to look stupid in troubled times.
Born in Kitchener, Ontario in 1982, most of his early years were spent moving from one town to another, attending 9 different public schools by the 9th grade. He cites this "colourful" family life as the root of the sense of displacement that so frequently appears in his songs. He is cautious, but optimistic. Frustrated, but focused. Romantic, but not foolish.
Chris' first studio album "This Precious Disease" was released in March 2008. It features 11 original songs, recorded and co-produced by Canadian folk mainstay James Gordon.
