My name is Matt James. I have a disease; I need to make music.

I have poured everything that I have into this record: my experience, my heart, my soul, my story, my bank accounts... I have given everything that I have to make this record. I gave up a stable life and good jobs (teaching music) to move across the country, far from everything I knew, and hope that if I can get it out that it will mean something to somebody who is listening.

I stand humbled by all of my teachers, my Mother, my Father, my bandmates, my lovers, my heroes, and my students. They have all been my muse, my cannon fodder, and my inspiration.
